FedEx Agrees to Greater Transparency on Climate Lobbying Activities

New York, Sept. 16, 2022United Church Funds (UCF) and The Pension Boards–United Church of Christ (PBUCC), both ministries related to the United Church of Christ, announced today that as the result of their joint shareholder resolution filed this past April, FedEx Corporation has agreed to enhance public disclosure of its climate lobbying activities – including its membership in trade associations with significant climate policies – so as to better inform shareholders of whether those activities and memberships align with the Paris Agreement of 2015.

Anna-Nicole Heinrich, Evangelical Church of Germany President, Visits the Pension Boards

The Pension Boards was pleased to host Ms. Anna-Nicole Heinrich, the President of the Synod of the Evangelical Church of Germany (EKD), and Executive Assistant, Jonathan Renau, in their New York offices recently.

Elected in 2021, Ms. Heinrich, at 26, is the youngest person to hold the office in the history of the EKD. “As president of the EKD Synod, I stand for a hopeful, integrating, and pragmatic church that is always reviving itself,” she said in her introductory speech upon her election. Previously a youth delegate to the synod, she studied philosophy at the University of Regensburg and is vice-chair of the Protestant Youth in Germany.

Fraud! Watch For Possible Fake Highmark Communications

Protect yourself from potential fraud.

Know how to protect yourself.
Some members have recently reported suspicious email, text, and phone communications that appear to have come from Highmark. They typically contain a link to a fake, but realistic-looking, website asking you to enter personal info. They may encourage you to download a harmful app or ask you to call a non-Highmark phone number for follow-up.
